Tretiva Capsule is a retinoid medication derived from vitamin A. It is prescribed for treating severe acne that hasn’t responded to other therapies.

Take Tretiva Capsule exactly as directed by your physician, preferably with meals at consistent times daily to maintain proper dosing. While symptom improvement may take several weeks, continue regular use for optimal results. Consult your doctor if no improvement is observed after a few weeks.

Common side effects such as dry skin, rashes, and elevated liver enzymes are typically mild and temporary. Notify your doctor if these persist or cause discomfort.

This medication increases photosensitivity – limit sun exposure and avoid waxing or laser treatments during therapy. Maintain hydration and use moisturizers to counteract potential dryness of skin, lips, and eyes. Tretiva is contraindicated in pregnancy due to risk of birth defects.
