Product Overview

Femilon is a combined oral contraceptive containing Desogestrel (0.15 mg) and Ethinyl Estradiol (0.02 mg). This birth control pill prevents pregnancy through three mechanisms: inhibiting ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to block sperm, and thinning the uterine lining to prevent implantation. Each pack contains 21 active pills and 7 placebo pills for a 28-day cycle.

Uses

Primarily used for pregnancy prevention, Femilon also helps:
• Regulate menstrual cycles
• Reduce menstrual pain and PMS symptoms
• Manage PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder)
• Treat acne and excessive hair growth (hirsutism)

How to Use

Take one active pill daily at the same time for 21 days, followed by 7 days of inactive pills. For immediate protection:
• Start on Day 1 of menstruation OR
• Begin the first Sunday after period starts
Follow the blister pack’s directional arrows. Use backup contraception if:
• You miss a dose
• Experience vomiting/diarrhea within 4 hours of taking a pill

Dosage and Administration

Standard regimen:

• Use alternative contraception
