Claribid Tablet is an antibiotic medication prescribed for treating various bacterial infections. It demonstrates efficacy against respiratory tract infections, ear/nose/throat conditions, pulmonary infections, and skin infections. The medication is particularly effective against Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), a bacterium linked to peptic ulcer disease.

This antibiotic also treats certain opportunistic infections (such as Mycobacterium avium complex or MAC) in immunocompromised patients. It works by inhibiting bacterial growth, thereby alleviating symptoms and eliminating the infection. For optimal absorption, take the tablet orally either one hour before or two hours after meals, avoiding antacid use within two hours of administration. Maintain regular dosing intervals as prescribed and complete the full treatment course, even if symptoms improve, to prevent recurrence or antibiotic resistance.

Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion), taste alterations, headaches, and skin rashes. These typically resolve as treatment progresses. Consult your physician if side effects persist or worsen.
