Uses

Tenoric is utilized to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), preventing complications such as strokes and heart attacks that can occur due to prolonged hypertension. It is also used to treat angina (heart-related chest pain) and irregular heartbeat (cardiac arrhythmia).

How to Use

The medication should be taken orally, preferably at the same time every day to maintain a consistent level of the drug in the body. Tenoric can be taken with or without food, but it should be taken consistently to avoid fluctuating blood levels of the medication.

How It Works

Tenoric works by combining the effects of Atenolol and Chlorthalidone. Atenolol is a beta-blocker that works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body, like adrenaline, on the heart and blood vessels. This effect reduces heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart. Chlorthalidone is a “water pill” (diuretic) and causes your body to get rid of extra salt and water, further lowering blood pressure.
