Trioday Tablet is a combination antiretroviral medication prescribed for treating HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection. It works by strengthening the immune system to combat HIV and manage AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).
This medication inhibits HIV replication in the body, reducing the risk of HIV-related complications and improving life expectancy. For optimal effectiveness, take the tablet on an empty stomach, preferably at bedtime. Consistent dosing at the same time daily enhances its efficacy. Never miss a dose as this may compromise your treatment progress. Complete the full prescribed course unless directed otherwise by your doctor.
Common side effects include concentration difficulties, unusual dreams, headaches, nausea, fatigue, nasal congestion, diarrhea, rashes, dizziness, insomnia, pain, depression, and cough. These typically subside within 2-4 weeks but consult your doctor if persistent or bothersome. Since the medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness, avoid driving. Alcohol consumption should also be avoided as it may intensify side effects.
Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or have kidney/liver conditions. Regular blood tests may be required to monitor blood counts and organ function. HIV-positive individuals should not breastfeed or share personal items like razors or toothbrushes. Consult your physician about safe sex practices to prevent HIV transmission.
