Take Xareltomg Tablet with food at the same time each day for optimal results. Long-term or lifelong treatment may be necessary in some cases. Never discontinue or adjust your dosage without medical supervision, as this may increase your risk of stroke, heart attack, or thrombosis. Lifestyle modifications like smoking cessation, healthy eating, regular exercise, and weight management can further reduce clotting risks.
The most frequently reported side effect is increased bleeding tendency (nosebleeds, easy bruising). Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual bleeding. This medication is contraindicated in patients with severe renal/hepatic impairment, active bleeding, or those taking other anticoagulants. Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment. Unlike warfarin, Xareltomg doesn’t require routine PT-INR monitoring.
