✅ Prevents blood clots

✅ Manages pulmonary embolism
✅ Safe for long-term use

Xareltomg Tablet is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) medication used to prevent and treat blood clots. It helps reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heart rhythm). The medicine also prevents and treats deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and reduces clotting risk after knee or hip replacement surgery.

Take Xareltomg Tablet with food at the same time each day for optimal results. Long-term or lifelong treatment may be necessary in some cases. Never discontinue or adjust your dosage without medical supervision, as this may increase your risk of stroke, heart attack, or thrombosis. Lifestyle modifications like smoking cessation, healthy eating, regular exercise, and weight management can further reduce clotting risks.

The most frequently reported side effect is increased bleeding tendency (nosebleeds, easy bruising). Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual bleeding. This medication is contraindicated in patients with severe renal/hepatic impairment, active bleeding, or those taking other anticoagulants. Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment. Unlike warfarin, Xareltomg doesn’t require routine PT-INR monitoring.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS

  • Prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders

CLINICAL BENEFITS

Thromboprophylaxis and Treatment

As a direct Factor Xa inhibitor, Xareltomg Tablet exerts its anticoagulant effect by selectively blocking a key component in the coagulation cascade. While it doesn’t lyse existing clots, it prevents clot propagation and new thrombus formation by inhibiting thrombin generation. This mechanism reduces risks of stroke, systemic embolism, and venous thromboembolism (VTE), including DVT and PE. The medication also minimizes embolization risk by stabilizing formed clots. For optimal therapeutic outcomes, maintain consistent dosing alongside recommended lifestyle modifications.

ADVERSE EFFECTS

Most adverse reactions are transient and resolve with continued therapy. Consult your healthcare provider if symptoms persist or cause concern.

Frequently observed reactions

  • Hemorrhagic events (increased bleeding tendency)

ADMINISTRATION GUIDELINES

Administer orally with food, swallowing the tablet whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking. Adhere strictly to prescribed dosage and treatment duration.

PHARMACODYNAMICS

Xareltomg Tablet is a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) that selectively inhibits Factor Xa, thereby interrupting the intrinsic and extrinsic coagulation pathways to prevent thrombus formation.
