This medication does not cure HIV/AIDS but helps reduce viral load in the body. By decreasing HIV levels, it lowers the risk of HIV-related complications and extends lifespan. It’s always used in combination with other antiretroviral drugs as part of HIV therapy. Your physician will determine the appropriate medication regimen and dosage. Take all prescribed medications exactly as directed. The tablet can be taken with or without food, preferably at consistent times. Avoid antacids containing aluminum or magnesium within 2 hours before or after taking this medicine. Consistent adherence to the prescribed schedule is crucial – continue taking until your doctor advises otherwise.

Common side effects may include insomnia, headaches, nausea, dizziness, and muscle pain. While typically mild, consult your doctor if these persist. Rare but serious potential effects include skin reactions and liver damage, which your doctor will monitor during initial treatment.

Inform your healthcare provider about any pre-existing skin conditions or liver/kidney problems before starting treatment.
