Product Overview

Tavin EM is an antiretroviral medication combining Emtricitabine (200mg) and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (300mg) in tablet form. This fixed-dose combination therapy is approved for:

• Treating HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents (≥35kg body weight)
• Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent HIV-1 acquisition in high-risk individuals

As a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) combination, Tavin EM blocks HIV replication by interfering with viral RNA-to-DNA conversion, effectively reducing viral load.
